About the Role

We are seeking an Accountant to support one of our U.S.-based clients. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and prior experience handling U.S. accounting processes, including compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Record payroll, depreciation, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• File federal and state tax returns (IRS and local authorities).
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and deliver management and financial reports.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting or related field.
• Experience: Previous experience as an accountant working with U.S. companies (required).
• English: Advanced level (B2/C1), both written and spoken.

Technical knowledge:

• Proven experience with U.S. accounting processes and regulations.

Working Conditions

• 📍 Location: Medellín, Colombia (100% on-site).
• 🗓 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• 📄 Contract: Indefinite term.
• 💰 Salary: To be agreed upon based on experience.
